WHO WE ARE

Sisters Frances and Samantha have always shared a love for the outdoors, design, and entertaining.

They endeavored to turn their passions into a landscape design and gardening business based in Southern Connecticut, where they both are raising young families. In 2024, Bird & Company was born with a vision to create beautiful outdoor spaces that feel like home and bring people together.

Samantha has a background in fashion and business from her time as a buyer at Bloomingdale’s in New York City and her undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at UPenn. She is currently pursuing her master gardener certificate from the UConn Master Gardener’s Program. She has a strong horticultural background and infuses creativity and style into every project.

Frances brings her background in finance from her years as a wealth manager and investment analyst in San Francisco and degree from Dartmouth College. She is currently pursuing a Landscape Design Certificate from the New York Botanical Gardens. She brings a strategic approach, analytical mindset and tasteful design eye.

Together, they are focused on cultivating outdoor spaces and landscapes that exude warmth and hospitality. The landscapes they design are meant to feel like extensions of their clients, with the intention of encouraging people to engage with nature and one another.
